INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEERING

IT Infrastructure Engineering MSD personnel ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer mission requirements into total systems solutions that embrace technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Our staff has been providing mission critical, high performance computing systems support for national level intelligence customers, Work includes SAN/Storage architecture and engineering using SAN and NAS from EMC, Hitachi, and NETAPPS, among others to develop robust storage solutions, and assess key storage technology for inclusion into the customer baseline. Our engineers bring in-depth experience in Linux, UNIX, VMware, Agile Development methodology and Enterprise Architecture.

MSD personnel have been responsible for technology insertion, virtualization, capacity planning, extremely large databases, and backup/recovery planning across multiple environments. Areas of focus are performance  metrics, contingency operations planning, problem management, and review boards and design/architecture TEMs. System Administrators perform all aspects of workstation and server operations. They architect key solutions for application developers to deliver highly available, scalable infrastructure.

Our staff has experience with programs to engineer, install, integrate and harden servers into large-scale enterprise heterogeneous High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. We also maintain high-end compute engines, mass storage systems, special processing clusters, and enterprise backup systems.

We continue to coordinate with customers to prepare deployment scheduling; developing transition documents; and coordinating software product delivery, security, and  numerous Operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities.
